ENG 311 - Shakespeare: Histories and Comedies

This course concentrates on Shakespeare’s early plays, primarily comedies and histories, with close analysis of the texts in the light of relevant political, social, and cultural contexts, and with some attention to stage history and film productions. Prerequisite: Basic writing course or permission of instructor.
