EDU 558 - Ethical & Legal Issues in Counseling

This course offers an examination of leading ethical and legal issues that arise in professional counseling and psychotherapy, and of the principles and presuppositions on which change and responsibility in the counseling relations are based. Topics requiring analysis and discussion include: confidentiality, privileged communication, right of privacy, criminal liability, confrontation, professional behavior, and the role of moral values.
