ART 110 - Concepts in Desktop Publishing

3 Credits

For the student wanting an introduction to graphic design using the ubiquitous desktop computer and a desktop publishing program. Lectures include: history of graphic design, visual perception, typographic layout, and an introduction to desktop computer software. Projects will cover those used for intro-level jobs, e.g., newsletters, stationery, brochures. Evaluations will include the above projects and class critiques. Fulfills SCE Fine Arts core requirement. Audit in this course requires full tuition. No lab fee.
