THL 373 - Global Catholicism

3 Credits

Explores how Catholic Christianity is lived and expressed in the non-western cultures of Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Oceania. Focuses on the writing of representative theologians in each region and Christianity’s impact on their particular culture and social issues. Different assumptions and mindsets of cultures will be a major pedagogical focus of the course. Fulfills the Theology II and Diversity core requirements.
