THL 260 - Religions of the World 3 Credits
This course explores the idea of redemption as expressed by the Judaic, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, and Christian traditions. Students examine both the philosophy and ritual found in the Torah, Koran, Bible, Pali Canon, and Upanishads, aided by a variety of secondary sources. Class discussion focuses on the similarities and differences between the religions’ concept of redemption. Fulfills SCE THL I core requirement.
