Fire Science


This program prepares students to address the increasing complexity of fire protection systems and safety as well as administration and management within the fire service. To meet the demands of the fire science field, this degree provides students with fundamental skills for activity on the fire ground, as well as comprehensive information in the areas of management, communication and law.

Requirements for the bachelor of science degree


I. Core Requirements: 60 credit hours

Philosophy 12 Credits
Theology 12 Credits
Science: one course each in hydraulics and chemistry 6 Credits
History 6 Credits
Social science: 6 Credits
Mathematics (MTH 105 or above) 3 Credits
Fine arts 3 Credits

III. Free Electives: 24 credit hours


Total: 120 credit hours
