The Certificate in Accounting introduces students to the various tools used by the accounting professional. It provides a foundation in basic accounting practices and financial reporting issues. This certificate may be taken alone or applied towards a bachelor’s degree program at Providence College.
Certificate in Advanced Accounting: 18 credit hours
The Certificate in Advanced Accounting enables students to adapt accounting knowledge and skills to new situations encountered in a dynamic business environment. Career paths for students who complete the Accounting II certificate include certified public accountants, private accountants, financial managers, financial analysts, internal auditors, certified management accountants, and government auditors. This program may only be completed at the post-baccalaureate level.
Note:
This certificate provides a basis for students preparing to sit for the CPA examination. Because exam requirements vary between states, students interested in sitting for the CPA exams are advised to consult with the Department of Accountancy for information on current requirements. |
