Notes

*Graduate programs in social work want students to have a course in statistics before beginning advanced standing studies.

  1. Students interested in study abroad, with special accommodations, may do so in the second semester of the junior year. Students should notify the chair or academic advisor of their consideration of foreign study by the end of their freshman year, or at the latest by the very beginning of the sophomore year, so that course scheduling can be adjusted.

  2. The department requires majors to take BIO 122 at the sophomore level. This course is credited toward the science core requirement.

  3. Students entering Providence College with two to three years of a foreign language, particularly Spanish, are strongly encouraged to continue their language study.
