PSC 431 - Transitional Justice

1 semester, 3 Credits

Transitional justice analyzes the ways in which new democracies deal with the legacies of an authoritarian past. Drawing on contributions from various disciplines (e.g. political science, law, history, sociology, philosophy and the arts,) the course introduces the main concepts, theories, and institutions of transitional justice, and challenges students to elaborate strategies in the field.
