TDF 319 - History of Dance

1 semester, 3 Credits

Examines the history of Western concert dance including ballet, modern, and jazz/musical theatre. Beginning in ancient times and continuing to the present, studies artists and cultural phenomena important in the development of contemporary dance in the U.S. Considerations of race, gender, age, and physical ability are included. Prerequisite: Any dance course or permission of instructor.
