EDU 512 - School-Community Relations 3 Credits
This course examines the relative effects of school, family, social background, and community on student outcomes. The main objective is to confront the major challenge facing American education in the 21st century: how to structure schools so as to maximize both equality and achievement. This requires training in data-driven decision making, which is central to statewide systematic initiatives in place throughout the country.
