EDU 622 - Reading in the Content Area 3 Credits
This course about reading in the content area examines a strategy for addressing literacy skills in the content area classroom. The main areas covered in the class are: the reading process, vocabulary, comprehension, assessment, study, writing, and discussion skills as they advance the student’s ability to read content area textbooks and supplementary materials. In addition, attention is paid to the needs of a diverse student population and the role that technology plays in the content area classroom.
