EDU 709 - Computers in Secondary School Mathematics

3 Credits

An introduction to the utilization of the computer to enhance the teaching of mathematics. Topics include using the computer as a tutor and as a tool to both investigate fundamental concepts and to solve complex real-world problems. Emphasis will be placed on the use of a computer algebra system with numerical, symbolic, and graphic capabilities. Knowledge of programming is not a prerequisite to this course.
