EDU 764 - Current Issues in Literacy

This course will examine critical issues in literacy instruction. Students will use a variety of texts and professional literature to explore such topics as No Child Left Behind, adult and family literacy programs, bilingual/ESL programs, synthetic vs. embedded phonics instruction, and the political aspects of literacy.
