ENG 356 - American Literature 1865 – 1914 3 Credits
This course surveys American literature through some of the most difficult years in our history, the years of industrialization and urbanization. Major authors include Twain, James, Dickinson, Crane, Robinson, Wharton, Frost, and Adams. Some regionalist and naturalist works are also read. Prerequisite: Basic writing course or permission of instructor.
