AMS 260 - Women, Gender, Dance, and Sport 1 semester, 3 credits- Core Foundation/Proficiency: Diversity
This course examines how gender inequities are constructed, perpetuated, and challenged in dance and sport in the U.S. An historical background of dance and sport focused upon female and non-binary participants will provide the foundation for analysis of contemporary issues including how gender, race, age, class (dis)ability, sexual orientation, and religion may affect one’s experiences as an athlete or dancer. Same as TDF 260 and WGS 260.
