BIO 406 - General Microbiology 4 Credits
Microbiology is devoted to the study of prokaryotic organisms that include both bacteria and viruses. In this course, students will explore several major themes in modern microbiology including, 1) the fundamentals of microbiology, 2) microbial genetics and diversity, and 3) medical microbiology, including immunology and human disease. Concurrent enrollment in BIO 406L required. Prerequisite: Bio 105 and 105L, General Biology or the equivalent
