ART 374 - Photography: Concept, Process, Communication 1 semester, 3 credits- Core Foundation/Proficiency: Fine Arts
This course explores how ideas are conceived, developed, and communicated in lens-based media. Students will engage with the full creative cycle-from conceptual brainstorming to iterative experimentation and final production. Emphasis will be placed on how aesthetic choices, including the use of beauty, composition, form, and style, contribute to the conceptual clarity and communicative power of an artwork.
This course requires six class hours per week. Prerequisite: ART 171 or ART 273 or permission of the instructor.
