EDU 301 - Foundations of Education

1 semester, 3 credits- Core Foundation/Proficiency: Civic Engagement

This course focuses on the historical, philosophical, and social influences on education in the United States. Students explore civic issues such as the role of education in a democratic society, education for the common good, equitable access to educational opportunities and resources, the role of educators in building a just society, and the politics of school reform.
