FIN 217 - Statistical Analysis for Business Decisions I

1 semester, 3 credits-

Introduces students to the basic statistical methods used to support problem-solving and decision-making in business and economics. Emphasis is placed upon understanding elementary concepts and procedures which include: descriptive statistics, basic probability rules, discrete and continuous probability distributions, the central limit theorem, hypothesis testing, regression, and correlation. Prerequisite: FIN 113; MTH 107 or higher.
