MTH 132 - Calculus and Analytical Geometry II 1 semester, 4 credits- Core Foundation/Proficiency: Quantitative
The principle techniques of antidifferentiation: substitution, parts, trigonometric substitution, and partial fraction decomposition. Applications of integration to area, volume, and arc-length problems. Improper integrals. Numerical integration. Differential equations. Parametric plane curves. Polar coordinates and polar curves. Sequences and series. Convergence tests. Power series including Maclaurin and Taylor Series and their intervals of convergence.
Not open to students with credit in MTH 223. Prerequisite: MTH 131.
