PSP 302 - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Civic & Community Engagement 1 semester, 3 credits-
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential to ethical civic and community engagement. This course examines how historical and structural inequalities shape engagement and the perceived “need” for service. Students explore how identity differences influence community dynamics and, through critical analysis of power and social structures, develop strategies to foster inclusion, advance equity, and build reciprocal community partnerships.
Prerequisite: PSP 101 or instructor permission.
