CLA 222 - Imagining Witches: Witch Myths and Witch Trials From Antiquity to the Present


1 Semester, 3 Credits- Core Foundation/Proficiency: Civic Engagement

Defines and traces the evolution of the image of the witch through time and space; studies the history of 16th through 18th century witch trials particularly in Europe and its colonies; explains the ways in which representations and rhetorics of witchcraft have played a central role in political, social, religious, economic inclusion and exclusion from antiquity to the present.
