BLS 306 - Afro-Latinidad(es): Identities, Expressions, Resistance 1 Semester, 3 Credits-
This course engages the concept of Afro-Latinidad through exploration of Afro-Latinx identities, expressions, and resistance in Latin America and the US. After an introduction to racial formation and ideologies in the Americas, students will engage a range of texts centering voices of Afro-Latinx individuals and communities in the discussion of themes such as race, ethnicity, gender, intersectionality, resistance, and solidarities.
Prerequisite: BLS 101
