Bachelor of Science 

The bachelor of science program in chemistry is a rigorous one designed to provide in-depth training in all areas of chemistry for those students with a strong interest in research or graduate school. The program is certified by the American Chemical Society. Students must take CHM 309 (Biochemistry) as one of their electives to receive a certified degree.

**Chosen from among CHM 309 Biochemistry I (must be chosen for ACS-certified degree), CHM 312 Biochemistry II, CHM 402 Advanced Inorganic Chemistry, CHM 442 Advanced Organic Chemistry, or CHM 470 Special Topics in Biochemistry

It is recommended that students consult with their advisors about the availability of chemistry and science elective courses, since some are not offered every year.
