Liberal Studies
The liberal studies program recognizes individual needs and interests of students by allowing all course work beyond the Core Curriculum to reflect elective choices. This program provides students with a broad degree of flexibility so that students may tailor their studies to their goals or interests. Students may combine the Liberal Studies degree with certificate programs to create an individualized program that suits their career goals. Those with large numbers of transfer credits outside the core requirements are best accommodated in this program. Requirements for the bachelor of arts degree
I. Core Curriculum Requirements: 42 credit hours*

Perspectives on Western Civilization 9 Credits Philosophy: one ethics and one other course 6 Credits Theology: one 200-level and one 300-level course 6 Credits Science 3 Credits Social Science 3 Credits Quantitative Reasoning 3 Credits Fine Arts 3 Credits Intensive Writing 6 Credits Oral Communication 3 credits Proficiencies: Diversity, Civic/Global Engagement, Information Literacy, Collaboration and Teamwork II. Free Electives: 78 credit hours*
*A minimum of twenty-four hours must be upper division (300 or 400-level) credits. BA in Liberal Studies with a Business Studies Certificate
