Ministry
Students in the bachelor of arts in ministry program take a central core of courses in Scripture (Old and New Testaments), dogmatic theology, moral theology, and pastoral ministry. The ministry major allows the student professional options in related endeavors such as pastoral assistants, hospital chaplains, and various roles in pastoral administration as well as in associated fields of interest, such as counseling, education, and social work. Pastoral Ministry Concentration
I. Core Curriculum Requirements: 42 credit hours
Perspectives on Western Civilization 9 Credits Philosophy: one ethics and one other course 6 Credits Theology: one 200-level and one 300-level course 6 Credits* Science 3 Credits Social Science 3 Credits Quantitative Reasoning 3 Credits Fine Arts 3 Credits Intensive Writing 6 Credits Oral Communication 3 credits Proficiencies: Diversity, Civic/Global Engagement, Information Literacy, Collaboration and Teamwork *can be fulfilled through major courses II. Professional Requirements: 33 credit hours
III. Concentration: 15-18 credit hours
IV. Free Electives: 27-30 credit hours
