Organizational Communication
This program prepares individuals to work in a variety of communication capacities, including public relations, marketing, advertising, publications and journalism. The organizational contexts include business and professional organizations as well as public, nonprofit, and political entities. The strong emphasis on written and oral communication provides valuable skills for any professional field. Coursework for the program centers on writing, media, ethics, and interpersonal communication. Both a theoretical and an applied focus underscore each course. Requirements for the bachelor of science degree
I. Core Curriculum Requirements: 42 credit hours

Perspectives on Western Civilization 9 Credits Philosophy: one ethics and one other course 6 Credits Theology: one 200-level and one 300-level course 6 Credits Science 3 Credits Social Science 3 Credits Quantitative Reasoning 3 Credits Fine Arts 3 Credits Intensive Writing 6 Credits Oral Communication 3 credits Proficiencies: Diversity, Civic/Global Engagement, Information Literacy, Collaboration and Teamwork II. Organizational Communication Core Concentration Core: 27 credit hours
III. Practicum in Organizational Communication: 6 credit hours
