Bachelor of Science
The Department of Engineering and Physics offers a major in physics that augments the traditional physics program with courses in electronics and hands-on research. The program builds skills in problem-solving, teamwork, quantitative thinking, experimental techniques, and communicating complex ideas in both speaking and while preparing students for a variety of career and/or graduate study options. It is founded on a humanities and technical core curriculum similar to that of the combined-plan engineering program. Physics, chemistry, mathematics, and computational science form the technical core. The final four semesters provide the courses that are specific to the concentration.
