Development of Western Civilization

DWC & Transfer Status

New students who are accepted to Providence College with advanced standing (transfer) status will be required to complete the following DWC sequence:

2^nd Semester Freshman: 

• DWC 101 - Development of Western Civilization I
    
• DWC 102 - Development of Western Civilization II
    
• DWC 201 Development of Western Civilization III
     

1^st Semester Sophomore status or higher:

• DWC 101 - Development of Western Civilization I
    
• DWC 102 Development of Western Civilization II
    

As DWC 101 is currently only offered in the fall semester, it is recommended that transfer students who begin matriculation in the spring delay enrollment in DWC until the following fall semester.  Students should complete the DWC requirements in sequential order.
