Return to: Faculty Listings and Program Information
Undergraduate students would apply in their junior year to be admitted to the 4+1 Graduate Theology Program, such that they would start taking graduate classes in their senior year. Students would take one graduate theology class in the fall semester and one in the spring. Having then received their undergraduate degrees, they could proceed to take two graduate courses in the summer. By the end of the summer term they will have completed four of the ten courses required for the Master of Theological Studies degree. In the fall semester (now as full-fledged graduate students) they would take three courses; to be followed by three in the spring. The requisite ten courses would thus have been completed in May of that year. Students will be expected to complete their Comprehensive Exams by June 15. After successfully completing the Comprehensive Exams, they will have earned their Master of Theological Studies degree.
The following chart outlines the one-year plan of study, beginning in the Senior Year.
