MTH 320 - Statistical Methods for Data Science 1 semester, 3 credits-
Builds on experience gained in an introductory statistics course to develop the tasks of statistical analysis that are commonly used in data science. Topics included are multi-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) for experimental design, multiple regression, clustering, and principal component analysis, time-series analysis, and predictive modeling. Prerequisites: CSC 103 and MTH 217; CSC 220 must be taken before or concurrently.
