MSC 209 - Introduction to Musical Improvisation

1 Semester, 3 Credits-

Designed to create both intuitive and cognitive hands-on learning opportunities in improvisation. Enables students to learn to improvise and interact with others in an improvisational context. Students will be able to improvise melodies in a spontaneous, freely creative way that fits within the structure of a given piece of music. Permission of instructor required for non-music majors and minors.
