MSC 326 - Music of East Asia

Examines a variety of musical genres found in China, Japan, and Korea, including native musical traditions, contemporary popular forms, and Western art music adaptations, from throughout history to the present. Also examined are various social and cultural forces that shape and have shaped music from these three countries.
