EDU 241 - Teaching Mathematics in Elementary School 1 Semester, 3 credits-
Students develop knowledge and skills in the methods of teaching mathematics to elementary students. Students will plan, implement, and reflect on standards-based, learner-centered math lessons with high-leveraged teaching practices (e.g., interactive dialogues, making thinking visible, UDL, systematic instruction, assessment for learning, high-quality instructional materials) while working with students in required field experience. Open to EDUE majors only. Corequisite: EDU 241L.
