EDU 351 - Teaching Science in Elementary School

1 Semester, 3 Credits-

Teaches effective pedagogies to engage all learners in science classrooms. Students are presented with rich teaching examples, authentic classroom applications, and discipline-focused pedagogies. Addresses emerging needs in education, discusses high-quality curriculum materials, connects assessments to instructional decision-making and shares up-to-date research to prepare students to debate educational issues. Corequisite: EDU 351L. Prerequisites: EDU 231 or EDU 241 and EDU 285.
