COM 165 - Introduction to Broadcasting 3 Credits
This course examines the history of radio and television as well as the impact the broadcast media has in today’s society. Students will develop critical listening skills and writing skills for ‘hear copy’ versus ‘see copy’. The class will discuss radio formats, demographics, brand advertising, and the value of ‘news’ and ethics in broadcasting.
