HIS 105 - The History of Western Civilization I 3 Credits
Course explores the development of Western institutions and social ideas from the heritage of the ancient Near East through the Early Medieval Period. A study of the major political, economic, religious, philosophical, and cultural influences that have shaped the Greco-Roman-Judaeo-Christian character of Western Civilization with an emphasis on key historical personalities and their contributions. Students will also be introduced to methodology, historiography, and bibliography.
