Minor
• A minimum of one course in Greek history or culture
• A minimum of one course in Roman history or culture
• Four additional courses chosen from the list of approved courses offered by the Department of History and Classics (Classics, History, Greek, and Latin), although students may choose to substitute up to two of these electives with an approved course from an affiliated department.
Should a student pursue a Classical History and Cultures minor as well as a History major/minor, one course is permitted to be counted toward both minors or two history courses towards the minor/major.
The following list includes courses currently offered by the department. Whenever appropriate, new courses that apply to the Minor (either emphasis) will be added to the list by the Classics coordinator after consulting with all Classics faculty in the Department of History and Classics.
(G) = may count towards Greek culture/history requirement
(R) = may count towards Roman culture/history requirement
