An interdisciplinary program of study—leading to the degree of bachelor or arts—is offered in the social sciences.
This program allows students to design an individualized major combining courses from any two or three social science areas depending on the student’s interests and career plans.
The major requires a minimum of 12 courses selected from two or three of the following disciplines, with a minimum of three courses in at least one area: anthropology, economics, history, political science, psychology, and sociology. (Classes in social work and law do not qualify.) These 12 courses must include a social science theory course.
