The certificate in business studies is designed to provide the student with a strong foundation in the various business disciplines. Students may use the business studies certificate in conjunction with another non-business major in the School of Continuing Education or may simply complete the required courses and be awarded the certificate.
The program consists of nine courses that cover the areas of accounting, economics, marketing, social science, monetary management, finance, math, and business policy.

Requirements for the certificate program
Human Relations Component: (choose one) 3 credit hours
This course provides an introduction to the study of human relations that prevail in the business world. Elements such as group and organizational process, motivation, leadership, social control, and conflict will be studied. This requirement is fulfilled by one of the following courses: Capstone Experience: (choose one) 3 credit hours
