EDU 830 - Evidence-Based Practices in Primary Grade Literacy Instruction

3 credits-

Based on International Literacy Association (ILA) standards and International Dyslexia Association (IDA) competencies required for reading professionals, this course develops practical knowledge about early reading, writing, and language development. Through coursework and clinical experiences, candidates explore early literacy practices in phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension, with emphasis on the science of reading and structured literacy.
