EDU 835 - Understanding Learning Differences and Responsive Pedagogy

3 credits-

Addresses the cognitive and non-cognitive issues that challenge students with language-based learning differences (i.e., dyslexia and autism), students who are multilingual learners (MLLs), and students living with the effects of poverty on literacy development. Candidates will also reflect on their personal identities (i.e., culture, gender) and the impact of their identities on their work with diverse students.
