The science of reading (SOR) refers to the research that has been done in the past 40+ years on how we learn to read, what causes some students to struggle, and how to best teach everyone literacy skills. This course provides a scientifically based foundation in the cognitive, socio-cultural, linguistic, and motivational influences on literacy and language development.
